 GREAT, AFFORDABLE COFFEE MAKER By The Bear from Groveland, CA

I did a lot of research and read many reviews before deciding to buy this coffee maker. Since it is mainly plastic and, let's face it, not the most gorgeous coffee maker on the market, I chose black, instead of stainless, because I didn't want it to stand out on my counter.  Appearance aside, it is very easy to program, easy to use and makes a great pot of coffee.  Even though I always use filtered water, it also filters the water.  Maybe that's why the coffee tastes so good.

One thing that I should mention, since there was nothing said about this in the instruction booklet--the first time I tried to take the lid off the pot, it wouldn't budge.  I'm surprised I didn't break it!  I kept trying to lift the lid near the spout to make it flip up, like you do on most coffee makers.  I was beginning to think it was a permanent fixture on the pot and I didn't know how I was going to get water in there (duh...lol).

This lid is designed so that your coffee doesn't drip all over the counter when you pour and there are two plastic "hooks" that hold the lid tightly onto the pot, near the spout.  It comes off easily when you lift it from the back side of the lid first, where it attaches to the handle of the pot.  It seems like a backwards way of doing things but, once you get used to it, there is no problem.  Remember to do the reverse when you put the lid back on--attach the two hooks near the spout first and then snap the handle onto the handle of the pot.

I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune but wants a quality product and a good-tasting, hot cup of coffee.  I am very pleased with this coffee maker.  For my budget, it's just what I wanted.

This is a great coffee maker. The absolute best feature is the 4 hour timer. Other coffee makers only give you 2 hours before it shuts of. The set up is easy and the coffee stays hot. The price is right and the service from amazon is wonderful. Always receive packages on time and quickly.

Awesome Coffee Maker! No problem pouring the water reservoir, great tasting coffee, the coffee doesn't taste "burnt" when it's been on for 2 hours, and all around great. I might not remember to replace the filter as often as suggested but I do think it helps to make good-tasting coffee.
